The Donna Dillon Manning and Larry Horner Study Abroad Scholarship
The Donna Dillon Manning and Larry Horner Study Abroad Scholarship is a need-based scholarship, aiming to alleviate financial burden associated with semester-long global study programs. These scholarships, governed by Westmont College policies and procedures, are designed to support students with demonstrated financial need who have been selected to participate in approved study abroad opportunities. The financial assistance, ranging from $1,000 to $3,000, will specifically target expenses such as airfare, program fees, and other related costs that extend beyond the standard tuition, room/board charges, and fees. This scholarship does not include off-campus programs within the United States or May Term/summer programs. Recipients will be selected based on academic merit and financial need and can only receive this scholarship once for 1 global program.
Rose Marie Springer Diversity Scholarship
The Rose Marie Springer Diversity Scholarship was established by Westmont in San Francisco (then “San Francisco Urban Program”) in 2005 to honor Rose Marie “Rusty” Springer who served at the Program for 20 years. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide a continuing source of support to individuals interested in pursuing work in diversity and reconciliation, whether that is socio-economic, religious, gender, racial, or other, by awarding scholarships to college students who participate at Westmont in San Francisco. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit to students who embody the qualities that are eminently seen in the life of Rusty; those of tolerance, sensitivity, grace, mercy, justice and compassion.
