- Chapter 30 (Montgomery GI Bill®) - Pays a monthly stipend directly to the school which is applied to the appropriate student account.
- Chapter 31 (Veteran Readiness and Employment) - Covers tuition and fees, books and supplies paid directly to the school which is applied to the appropriate student account and either a subsistence rate or a monthly housing allowance paid directly to the student.
- Chapter 33 (Post- 9/11 GI Bill®) - Covers tuition and fees up to an annual maximum paid directly to the school which is applied to the appropriate student account and a monthly housing allowance paid directly to the student.
- Chapter 35 (Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program) - Pays a monthly stipend directly to the school which is applied to the appropriate student account.
